Valve's Trade Ban Update Was A GOOD IDEA!

Valve's Trade Ban will stop gambling. They based this ban on their statistical analysis of real user-to-user trading and realised the majority of items are not traded more than once a week on average from player-to-player, meaning that the majority of users are not affected by the ban.

There is a substantial (selfish) community of active traders who do not like this ban as it limits how many trades they can make (although a 7day cooldown shouldn't be a problem if you're smart) every week. They have no concern for the general health of the community, rather, they are concerned about their own selfish agenda.

Valve has already started banning bots belonging to gambling organisations who target children (taking the items out of commission, meaning that the total supply of items is decreasing, which will eventually lead to a massive increase in demand and prices) and not many people understand why Valve introduced the ban in the first place if all they are doing is banning bots manually, but it is plain and simple when you think about it: the Trade Ban slows down item trading and this allows them to better track where items are going and gives them a good way to find BOTs owned by gambling organisations which may otherwise seem like innocent traders and go undetected.

Gambling organisations try to hide their BOTs from Valve by making them seem like normal users and this makes it very hard for Valve to track them all down manually. This cooldown is simply an automated process which Valve can rely on to, at the very least, help speed up the bans and slow down the organisations so that they can't simply move their product out as soon as their BOTs start getting hit.

Yes, there is a community of legitimate traders out there who are affected somewhat by the update, although, trading is still very possible and still happens relatively frequently.

Greetings to all,

I am currently running this group because, as you have already found out hopefully, the trade ban is actually a good update and there needs to be some calming down in the outraged community as this has become very problematic for the csgo market.

I am posting this announcement to ask that everyone who joins tries to get people from #StopTradeBan, and other groups which have sprung up in the wake of the update, to see the light and calm down.

Please, invite anyone you know and allow them to read through all the available information on the update as well as watch some of the helpful videos linked in our group bio. Also, make sure you sign the petition if you can!

I am greatful to everyone who has joined seeing the problems I see and trying to help the community.
