ABOUT Connection is lagging online

Help to fix lag - You have been invited to this group as I have experienced lag playing online with or against you

I recommend looking through the following posts to help unify the online experience and fix most the lag players are experiencing, a lot of it now comes down to incorrect PC configuration, also please turn off your microphone.

First try this comprehensive guide to set the game up properly in PC settings:
http://v1.steam.hlxgame.cc/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=189070811

Some tips to help connection problems:

Use wired ethernet connection, DO NOT USE WIRELESS FOR GAMING.

I recommend using this free tool with optimal settings:
http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php
It is mostly for TCP, whereas this game is using UDPpackets, so it may not change anything for the game.

Open/forward your ports:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8571-GLVN-8711
http://portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Steam_Client/

Change DNS to OpenDNS:
https://use.opendns.com/
This is only going to help for new entries in DNS being faster.

Also for power users you can modify your router firmware and settings:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/index
I would generally not recommend this step as it can break your router.
openWRT also does this, but it is more complicated to install.

I recommend using RivaTunerStatisticsServer to set V-sync, it seems to work better than the NVIDIA or ATI V-Sync, however it does introduce more screen tearing, please don't use the in game V-sync it doesn't work. Also please set frame rate to fixed in game. NvInspector also has a frame rate limit built in.

and obviously close other programs that are using networking resources, especially any download/upload programs such as bit-torrent.

If you go to the speedof.me website you can see info on your connection speed, and ping, pingtest.net is also useful to see if you are dropping packets, if these are bad, then it is most likely a problem with your ISP, I recommend contacting them or changing to a better one.

Cheers for the games AES. Lag was because I'm at a lan. Little I can do while I'm here :) Hit me up when I'm back home and we can have some cleaner games if you like.

Hey, I'm not going to stick around and I just want to say thanks a lot for the guide

I have copy-pasted it into my notes and will apply the steps as soon as possible (although I can't promise on the wireless, at least for now)
Again, thank you

Haha, I was invited by another group because I was lagging online only to be insulted as if it was completely my fault, but this group actually attempts to help, "Hey I just met u" thank you so much for being so mature, I really thought I was gonna get some nasty comments again.

Also sorry about the god awful connection, for me it is very random and incredible difficult to tell if I am going to lag or not (I have a 50% chance of getting a smooth connection, those green/red bars are almost no help).

Actually just now I had a smooth connection and Steam disconnected me again! I don't know if that issue is related to the regular lag I get, I'm gonna give port forwarding a try and hope it improves things even marginally.
