THE U.B.C.S

The Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (U.B.C.S.) was a private military force owned by the Umbrella Corporation, specializing in rescue operations during biohazard outbreaks. It was founded by former Soviet Colonel Sergei Vladimir. The U.B.C.S. primarily recruited former soldiers and militiamen who had been incarcerated and, thus, could be offered a new life. At its largest in 1998, this force consisted of at least four platoons, designed Alpha through Delta, making for a complement of as many as 120 mercenaries. It suffered near total destruction during the operation in Raccoon City.
