It's been roughly 10 months since the outbreak started in Louisville. At the start of it all people thought it was like your common cold, how wrong we all were, it's much much worse. The government is still in working order outside the zone sending planes over every now and then to watch us like lab rats. Around 2 months ago the military started dropping gas bombs all over the zone to try and contain the plague. I'm not sure whether they were trying to kill us or the infected after the bombing of Westpoint and now the gassing of the zone. No one trusts the military now and I don't blame them.
Before the bombs were dropped the people of Knox country were warned by an unknown voice. Telling them of a place safe from the bombing, everyone i knew ran to their cars and drove to Dirkerdam without thought. Many people died on the road there.
