The Capital City of the Island of Sicily, The Senate and People of Syracuse;

The City of Syracuse sits on the South-East corner of the island of Sicily. It is a large city, with bustling streets comparable to Rome during this particular time; the port sits on a hot spot in the crystal sea, close to Carthage and facing the direction of Greece and Egypt. Trade swarms the city- culture follows, for men from every walk of life can claim Syracuse their resting ground. The pot melts and ideas brew.

Syracuse is a city founded by Corinthian colonists during the high period of Greek civilization; it is a foriegn polis of ancient democracy born in the Aegean, one of many spread out through the flourishing Mediterranean Sea- one of the most succesful of the polis, to be more precise.

As a group in our community here on Steam, the city seeks to recreate what made Syrcause succesful; a breeding of ideas cultivated in a free society which focuses on Forum and the bonding of minds. We seek individuals interested in spreading ideas on community, culture, art, politics, religion and everything worth thinking about, perhaps in lue of the war we are all so accustom.
