R.I.P server press f to pay respects

I'm not much for dramatic goodbyes, so i'm just going to be blatant.
The server is dead and it won't be coming back, to anyone who was awaiting the release of the gmod server you have my sincerest apologies. We had several big problems that just kept piling up and reappearing, and the willingness to create the server dwinidled into an entire new agenda. This post will be divided into 3 parts: Why the server died, how it's going to affect people, and the future of the server.

Why the server died:
Mostly technical and community issues here. Tf2 was our main ball-game for the time it was up, but as the community became more toxic our willingness to provide content to the people in that community disolved, the same happened with minecraft. We tried Garry's mod, but we may have honestly been falling into the exact same situation. That and when we tried our host went out of business, development kept getting reset and was eventually put on a permanent halt.

How it's going to affect people: We weren't a large community so I doubt this will impact people too much, and people are more than welcome if they so please to carry on the legacy of TF2BG. I've tried my best to purge the group of cancer so if anyone wants to interact it can be clean and about 75% less cringe worthy.

Future of the server: There are no plans to ever remake or reboot the server. The admins of the server are leaving and making a group from which we will raid TTT servers and make plebs cry. Feel free to use the name of this server all you want. Our klan's recruitment is very selective and offensive to following: blacks, jews, ♥♥♥♥♥, women, children, and jsut about everything else besides cisgender white males.

Server construction nearing completion

The GMOD server is nearly complete. We're working out a few kinks with the F4 menu and custom models, but overall we've made a decent amount of progress and the server may be releasing soon :). All moderators should contact an administrator if they want to retain their ranks in the new server.

If you want to know more about what GMOD RP is, check our previous post. More information will be posted below in Q&A style regarding server details.

Q: What is GMOD RP?
A: Garry's mod Roleplay is a gamemode in Garry's mod where select a character, and a job and roleplay as that character. There's a variety of jobs you can choose from to best suite your style of play, and anything can happen spontaneously. It's a lot of fun, even if you're not into RP.

Q: What are some of the custom jobs that will be included on the server?
A: Thief- Break into people's homes to steal printers and other valuables.
Hacker- Crack keypads to break into people's homes. Great for teams that raid often.
Kidnapper- Take people hostage and ransom them for money.
Chief of police- Head of the police department and the second highest authority over the police force.
Swat- More powerful police units that deal with more deadly situations and act as the protectors of the mayor.
Bartender- Sell alcholic beverages to people, as well as water to wash away the visual effects of drugs and alchohol.
DJ- Play music for people
Hitman- Accept hits for money.
Batman- Super hero, who must be voted into power but can swing with his grappling hook around the map quickly to arrive on the scene first.
Security guard- Protect shops and shop owners.
Black market dealers- Sell illegal, powerful weapons
Drug dealer- Sell the good stuff

Q: What will be the new name of the server? What is enjin/do I have to join it?
A: The new name of the server will be "Excelsior Gaming." Enjin is a website, very similar to steam where you create a forum account , and stay connected and updated on a server's progress. You don't have to join, it's optional, but this group will not be used or updated as much, however even without an Enjin account you should still be able to view the server page.

Q: What will be the donation prices? What is my incentive to donate?
A: Default donation price will be a one-time payment of 5$ USD. After paying your rank will be updated on the server when you next join and you will have access to donator jobs. Which are generally just more powerful versions of the default jobs. After donating you will still be allowed to donate more, to help the server. If you donate 20$ or more, you become a VIP donator. The rank is not yet complete, and might not be available at release.

Q: How can I learn more?
A: By waiting patiently or asking questions. I will make an attempt to answer any questions I get. On this post or directly through steam.
