Quite simply, inviting multiple people to voice chat is really annoying and requires people to call each other. Using a group to handle chat allows users to simply join the chat lobby at their convenience to communicate with other members.

Please demonstrate courtesy and wear headphones when using voice chat. Audio feedback can make it difficult for other people to hear.
