24/7 Server & Active Admins(!) - PvE and PvP - Newbies and Veterans - Friendly, Competitive, Solo, Team, RP, Quests/Missions

With the recent change from Windows to Linux on the main server environment, some issues arose due to hackers having been on the server in the past and spawned unknown / illegal game blocks with their hacked 7D clients. This means that the game world can not be moved over and continued on the 7D server running in Linux (which will be faster, supporting more people concurrently than in Windows, plus more features) - doing a Google search for this it's clear that this is an issue other server operators have also been having.

Therefore, we are running a 7D Linux server as an addition, keeping the existing Windows 7D server (it will be moved though on top of the Linux server and run paravirtualized).

The Windows 7D server will run the way it has so far, being kept in the official 7D servers list (right now it's actually in the modded list, because of some setting, but we'll fix that soon). This server is aimed mainly at people who want a more relaxed experience.

The Linux 7D server will be for the people who want a more exciting experience - with various mods (draw bridges and other things, if we can manage to add that, but we aim to do that!), changes to how loot spawns (more below) and much higher zombie difficulty setting.

A list of things that this 7D server is configured to:

1. Highest (unofficial) zombie difficulty: 6

2. To balance that out (and to make loot more rare), the general zombie spawn will be lower - 15 total on the map at most.

3. Loot will only respawn in the city (hub city at 0,0) and possibly immediate surroundings.

4. Animal spawn will also be turned down (from 200 as set before, to probably 20 in total that can be on the map at one time), plus individual animal spawn per biome will be regulated - more info later on, but as a general idea, large animals that give lots of hide (deer / bear) will be much more difficult to find and will probably only set to spawn in the winter biome, to make it more difficult.

5. People will be required to band together and create regions (factions) with settlements in them (that can develop later on into towns).

6. Block durability will be increased a lot, to make it much more difficult for people to build underground bases and even dig to bedrock.

7. Claim blocks' (keystones') reinforcement when offline will be set to quite a high value, to prevent people to just break in anywhere while the owners aren't on; this pretty much enforces the server rule that bases owned by those that are currently offline are not allowed to be raided.

8. On the other hand, the online reinforcement will be set to 0, which will require people to defend their property while they're on.

9. Land claims will decay within 2 day, so it's important to be on often or have someone put LCBs down who can be on at least every other day.

10. LCBs can be put almost next to each other.

11. The map will be changed to unlimited size.

12. The 7D server will require a password to be entered, which will be put into this Steam group's front page (intro / description).

13. In exchange, the server will not have a ping limit set, allowing people from further away, such as Australia or NZ, that are not cheaters and use a cracked / modified game client.

14. Addition of mods (such as draw bridges / working garage doors).
