Hellooo mad scientists, assistants, those who brighten up your world by chanting: "Tutturu~", super hackers, cat girls with superior roleplaying, RaiNet AccessBattlers & cafe running skills, sword-swinging guys who look as beautiful as girls, shining fingers who can break texting speed records, part time warriors with tactical training, creepy little girls, muscular bald fathers and those who come from STEINS;GATE 0 and other entries of the larger Science Adventure series![en.wikipedia.org] I hope you're all having a good day!

Before starting this post, I'd like to mention that the group got a little makeover following some short-lived vandalism. I want to clarify that I do not own this group but voluntarily contribute to it, so I cleaned up the mess even though it's not my responsibility. Today, I brought more administrators to the group to revert changes in the case that vandalism reoccurs in the future. Do you like the makeover? Let us know in the comments section down below! Introducing Committee of Zero Fan Patches

Exactly 1 month ago, I introduced the Science Adventure series to all of you. Today, I'd like to introduce you to one more thing — the community patches.

Lab members, to enhance your overall experience reading visual novels from the Science Adventure series, a group within the community known as the: "Committee of Zero[sonome.dareno.me]" have published fan patches for visual novels. These fan patches may address issues such as: translation errors, spelling errors, bugs, text inconsistencies, poor typography, poor image and video qualities, lack of translated song lyrics & CGs, and more. All fan patches are completely free to download and open-source, meaning that they are safe to install and each individual patch code may be viewed from GitHub. However, in order to install the Committee of Zero fan patches, you must of course have the base game (the actual game for sale) downloaded first.

I certainly know for a fact that they're safe. I haven't personally used fan patches for the Steins;Gate series, however I have for other mainline entries in the Science Adventure series and I have to say, I'm quite satisfied as a user and have no complaints about them.

"Will there be a STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT patch?"

Currently, there are no blog posts on the Committee of Zero website [sonome.dareno.me] announcing a STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT patch. It will likely become clear if a patch will enter development when the STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT game releases to the public on August 20th for the Steam platform.

However, I believe a fan patch will arrive eventually as STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT contains a simplified version of the script used in STEINS;GATE ELITE as discussed in this previous announcement of ours and because the translators of the original 2009 visual novel are returning[x.com], which is news I'm sharing for the first time today. Note that both STEINS;GATE ELITE & STEINS;GATE were patched visual novels.

Almost two weeks ago, in a previous announcement, I shared that the upcoming visual novel, titled: "STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT" would be releasing in Japan on August 20, 2026.

I am excited to share that we now know when the same game will release worldwide! I heard this news from neidhardt; , Bassman , and the Amadeus Discord server[discord.gg] so shoutout to all of them for keeping me informed!

STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT is now scheduled to release worldwide on:
- August 20, 2026 for Steam, Xbox Series X & Xbox Series S

- October 29, 2026 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 & PlayStation 5

No information has been shared about a worldwide PlayStation 4 release.

There will be a physical and digital version of the game. The physical version is only available for Nintendo Switch , Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5.

For everyone outside of Japan, there are two physical versions announced so far: A standard edition & and a SteelBook edition. The standard edition just includes the game while the SteelBook edition includes the game as well as newly drawn art by huke and a sticker.

Preordering the game is possible. Preorders for the physical editions begin as early as 28 May at 11:00 AM BST for those based in Europe shopping through Spike Chunsoft's online store[eustore.spike-chunsofteu.com]. Currently, we do not know what the game will be priced at.
