Steam Store showing me explicit ♥♥♥♥ titles and language by default. This should be set OFF.
There is no reason, at all, in our modern world to 'promote' ♥♥♥♥/furry and other explicit content BY DEFAULT.

Steam is Mature enough to realize this, yet I'm being inundated with ♥♥♥♥ titles I've never seen, nor wanted, in my store feed.

Steam, you need to CREATE a ♥♥♥♥ SUBSECTION. And, thereby 'encourage'/'entice' folks to go to that... since ALLLLLLLLLLLL of this is ALLLLLLLLLL about money, regardless of merit nor morales.

Currently, this current VERY DIRECT AND OBVIOUS implementation is equivalent to SETTING UP A ♥♥♥♥ STALL between the EGGS, MILK and CHEESE section of a Walmart, or Target, or Harrod's, or Kroger, or Food Lion.... wherever you're from. (yes, Harrod's doesn't carry groceries... but, it's the same issue, placing ♥♥♥♥ in common STORE FEEDS that do not belong there as the CUSTOMER is not SPECIFICALLY and ESPECIALLY SELECTING a ♥♥♥♥ SECTION to browse in the FIRST PLACE!)

And, here's the RUB... I have had KID'S sit with me to have fun in STEAM GAMES...

... SO, you are, BY DEFAULT... forcing me to IMPOSE UPON CHILDREN "STEAM ♥♥♥♥"!

Sheesh!


Fix this.

You folks KNOW what you're doing. You're not only ALLOWING IT, you're ENCOURAGING ♥♥♥♥!

Sheesh.

I do not CARE that folks CREATE ♥♥♥♥ games... MAKE AN ADULT ♥♥♥♥ SECTION SINCE YOU'RE ALREADY PROFITING OFF OF ♥♥♥♥ TITLES AND PROMOTING IT!

This.... is where GOVERNMENT REGULATION should play a ROLE and impose SUBSTANTIAL FINES ACCORDINGLY! SHEESH!

Stop this, STEAM. Stop.

Fix it.

Seeing such content IS off by default. One has to go into the preferences and turn it on.

Blue with a checkmark is allowing said content. White square is opting out.

I thought those instructions in the 'preferences' section were rather clear ... but I also read, not skimmed, them before deciding which to allow with a check in the tickbox.

Steam has apparently ZERO Gradient for 'nudity/suggestive' content and instead goes to FULL BLOWN acceptance of pornography with that singular button.

So, apparently a 'nuanced' title which shows some degree of moderate (by modern times) nudity or suggestiveness, fully trumps into FULL-BLOWN PORNOGRAPHY ACCEPTANCE.

This is unacceptable. And, is quite the degree that several of you are consciously and directly , and more importantly, intentionally overlooking and dismissing.

And, therein, is the problem.

And, Steam is profiting off of this carte'blanch' PORNOGRAPHIC PUSH.

And, you know it. I know it. It's quite obvious. And, needs to be corrected.

Steam ~needs~ to create a Pornography Channel/Icon separate from 'suggestive' titles.

This would be easy to determine as a gradient of feedback or additional buttons instead of just outright shifting to full-blown ♥♥♥♥.

There are three levels of nudity and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ content already. There are example (by clicking the "examples" link) given for what falls into each category on the preferences page.

I highly suggest reading the preferences descriptions and what they are for.

In 'Mature Content' I have the first 3 ticked, the last 2 unticked and I don't see the anime ♥♥♥♥ games, then in 'Exclude from My Store, Discovery Queue Content, New on Steam Queue Content' add things that get past like 'dating sim' and it's all good. The tools are there, a user simply has to use them instead of waiting for Papa Steam to do it for them.

I think this label just 'needs' to state Pornographic. It really does.

Papa Steam isn't giving the listing that is 'all inclusive' for all peoples whom would use these selectors.
