It is about you. It is about us. That is what makes up the entity known to all as Spinworkx. We are all in this together!

Back in the day, even before the idea of Spinworkx was conceived, a group of local players moved around Singapore, looking for the perfect location to throw a yo-yo without getting chased away. One day, an opportunity surfaced as a community youth group came along, and thought that the entire idea of yo-yo play was fresh, unique, and a good medium whereby youths could freely express themselves in the right manner. Hence, providing them with the space to gather, practice and pursue their dream.

That’s where it all began, the idea to formalise the dreams and hopes for the future. Spinworkx aims to unite and engage interested parties to push the boundaries of modern yo-yo play, and eventually, become a premier yo-yo performing group in Singapore and the Asia Pacific.

Vision:
To be the premier skill toy and talent development company in the Asia Pacific region.

Spinworkx was set up for numerous reasons. As youths make up the bulk of our community, we attempt to challenge them to constantly improve upon themselves, empower them with the confidence to achieve their goals, and to enrich their lives, giving them a more positive outlook for the future.

In addition, we envision to promote cohesion amongst the various Asia Pacific countries, and to provide the necessary platforms, to allow players from the different countries to come together for friendly competition and to give their varying viewpoints and personal feedback, all for the betterment of this sport.

Goals:
To promote skill toys by :
1) making them readily available
2) conducting training programmes
3) providing performing opportunities for exposure
4) having resources to keep players up to date

When one mentions playing with yo-yos, what is the first thought that comes to mind? Perhaps the simplicity of the up and down motion it makes and then a few basic tricks, or maybe, one would remember it as just another passing phase, or fad, which has died down. However, we aim to shatter all those preconceived notions! We actively coordinate shows, performances and training sessions for schools, corporate events and more. Plus, we organise an annual world standard competition (Asia Pacific Yo-Yo Challenge). It is through such events, which we hope will prove how much yo-yos and skill toys have come since then!

At Spinworkx, we strive to fulfill our vision and goals by raising funds from both sponsors and our very own store, and this fuels the company to push on and look towards the future. All this could not be achieved either, without the help of our numerous dedicated volunteers from the various places around the Asia Pacific.

Spinworkx is not just a dream. We are real. We are here to stay.
