Hello all

Just a little update on whats been happening lately.

We've had some issues since starting this group and community which has led us to a major change in the direction we first set out on. Hopefully we are back on track and ready to march onward towards our goal of building a friendly, active, gaming community.

The biggest change we are making is a re-brand including a name change. We decided that Parliamentary Combat Gaming just wasn't right. After an hour or two of deliberation the name was chosen...

We are still waiting for our new host to activate this address, and as soon as it has been activated we can build our new home, where hopefully we will see you all there. The forums can be used, by you the members, as a stage for almost anything you want a platform for. We will be looking for members to become part of the forum admin teams to help us out with the day to day running of the forum as well as looking for members who are passionate about any of the games they play and wish to build a player base for that game within our community. For example if you and a few of your friends like to play Team Fortress 2, then we would love for you to have your own forum section, that you and your friends can be part of, you would also be responsible for running that forum section.

We have had one main idea in the setup of this community and that was to include as many of you that wanted to play a part larger than just being a member, we want you to be a cog in the overall machine that our community will hopefully be. And soon enough we should have the infrastructure to do just that. None of us trying to setup this community have any ideas of becoming the Big Boss, every member is equal to each other. (but obviously there has to be some sort of leadership).

Game Servers.

As we have switched to a new hosting provider there have been a few issues that needed to be dealt with.

Takistan.
Admittedly, when we first setup the Taki Epoch server, it was somewhat rushed. However that didnt stop us from getting a few players settled into it, and once those players decided to stick around it became harder for us to rebuild Takistan into what it should have been.
Then we had a server host problem which ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up our Taki server settings and resulted in some stupid downtime. Since then Takistan lost its mojo with a less than 10 regular playerbase
We are currently deciding whether or not keep Takistan alive.

Overpoch Chernarus.
We now have a server running Overpoch Chernarus under the new name Spectre Gaming. This server was not rushed and was built from scratch meaning it has almost no errors and most importantly HIGH FPS (I get 60 fps in Cherno!!) a few Taki players have even said their frames are better on Chernarus than on Taki!

The server boasts :-

50+ AI missions
Spawn selection
Custom map content
Zombie free bases
random low tier starting gear
All Overwatch extras
Coin currency
AI Strongholds
and lots more that you need to discover for yourself.

We are working on other game server ideas, which may include

Thats obviously not a big list.......and we hope that you have some ideas for game servers that we can provide. So when the forum is ready please join up and lets talk gaming.

We are also hoping to stage community gaming events e.g. We all jump on a game we all own and play as a community, be it with or against each other.

Teamspeak 3
We have our own teamspeak server for the community. Having full control over it means if you and your pals want a private or game specific lobby, you can have it! If you sign up to the community you can even sport your very own TS3 Spectre TAG ;)

This is as far as our infrastructure has been envisioned to include, we really want you to supply ideas and play a major part of them, a community isnt the members that run it, a community is EVERY MEMBER JOINED. Contribution is key.

So lets get this community humming, invite your friends, and your friends friends to join and be part of what hopefully will be a thriving community, by gamers, for gamers
