Welcome to the colony!

In 2055, the United States Colonial Space Service began the study of the planet Veitrune 5; A small sized but eye-catching planet located but a few solar systems away from our own native system.

Seen as both an excellent opportunity to study something so foreign as well as a perfect place to test our newest, most advanced colonization technology yet, the USCSS: OSIRIS was sent out to put forth an installation on the strange planet. Many resources were to be had, but the number one goal was research.

In 2060, the colony titled, 'Solomon's Clearing' was just about built, named after one of the main funders of the project. After securing their team of researchers, the USCSS: OSIRIS left the colony to continue about their way as hundreds upon hundreds of scientists make haste and research.

With a security team to keep them safe, a janitor staff to keep them from being lonely, company officials to push papers and make profit as well as management securing resources, Solomon's Clearing is quite the bustling colony

Veitrune 5 is thought of to be a very old planet, much older even than our very own Earth. Through careful research and cautious patience, we are slowly getting pieces of the story one by one. Each and every day, the archaeological dig continues to get more and more interesting with more progress we make. From things like bones from long-gone creatures, old and strange pieces of metal and technology or even things such as relics from an older world or artifacts, the possibilities only go on.

There is an extensive amount of knowledge here - and a big reward at the end for us. There just has to be something here. There is a whole mountain of potential on this planet, and if we're going to do anything here it will be in the name of progress and knowledge.
