+Seme and uke are Japanese terms used to describe dominant or submissive people in nature. Most commonly referred and used in Japanese yaoi, it is an ALL gender thing.

+Seme
-A seme is the dominant figure. Semes are generally older, braver, less innocent or not innocent, and the one who likes to take risks and dominate over another.

+Uke
-A uke is the submissive person. A uke is generally more shy, feminine, sensitive, fragile, emotional, and loved to be taken care of by an older figure or dominant figure [the seme].

+Semeuke
-The semeuke is the versatile [goes either way] figure. They sometimes can appear to be either seme or uke or sometimes neither, but most of them switch to whatever, usually according to the person they are with or their mood or status.
