What this group is about...

Our goal with this group is to stimulate an environment of Science, Learning, Thoughtful and rational discussion/debates, Philosophy and to investigate as much of reality as we can in a balanced manner so that we can accumulate more knowledge.

-If you are the kind of person that wants to believe in fictions without evidence or any consideration that they may be wrong, then this isn't the group for you. Period.

-If you are very close minded to learning or discussing new topics or investigating new things due to a bias, this is certainly not the group for you. People who stick within their bubble of knowledge and choose to never broaden their perspective force themselves to only have a very limited amount of considerations, knowledge and perspectives to base their opinions off of. The more knowledge one can gain, especially if it is based by evidence, or can be logically extrapolated from past data, the more broadened, consistent, factual and considerate their own opinions are.

-If you are the kind of person that starts with a conclusion and 'then' looks for the evidence, this is not the group for you. In any rational environment, when you lack evidence to form a conclusion in any direction, it is therefore illegitimate due to a lack of backing. That isn't to say that the conclusion itself is wrong, however, it is irrational to form conclusions on things you know nothing about. It is no different than guessing, -whether you guess right or wrong doesn't validate the method you used in making the guess.

I you are instead a person who genuinely wants to express new ideas within science, philosophy or politics, under the context of rigorous investigation, brainstorming, considering new possibilities, forming rational hypothesis, analyzing new discoveries or old philosophies, or desire to present or explore new and interesting ideas (or even old ideas), this is the group for you.
