Sanctuary craft!

After a devastating plague swept throughout the lands of Cassilia, the cities and towns that once prospered from the fertile soil and riches that lay in the mountains turned into abandoned and neglected graveyards. The men and woman who claimed these lands for hundreds of years were unable to save their loved ones from the disease they did not understand. Civilisation fell within a mere decade of chaos and despair. For hundreds of years Cassilia lay abandoned.

From far away came the colonists, cast from their homes, fleeing the wars that waged in the far East. On the shores of Cassilia they discovered a city like unlike any they had seen before. It was beautiful, yet terrifying, for the remains of the old inhabitants filled the streets. Here they settled, to spread across the generous country. Soon, human civilisation brought kings, queens, and soon… war. For it is in the human nature where greed and lust dwelm.

You, child of the homeland, arrive in a land on the verge of civil war. Will you serve me, your king? Or will you cast aside the old and claim what is mine? Set foot on my shores, make it your new home, but know: I am King of these lands, king of this Sanctuary.

What is SanctuaryCraft?

I can tell you about “small community”, “easy promotions” and “friendly staff”. But to tell you exactly why you would even consider checking out our server I must tell you what makes Sanctuary Craft different:

First of all, the way we made the world. We’ve got a custom map with enormous mountains, custom biomes and custom trees, random lootable structures and much more!
More importantly: No Nether, and a custom End. Let me elaborate; The Nether has been brought to the normal world in the form of a volcanic landscape! The end? Hell, let’s just turn it into a entirely custom fantasy map!

Moderators, Developers and Administrators? to heck with it! Reward active players by giving them the ability to deal with little rule breakers and keep the management small for better communication.

Besides these things I just named, Sanctuary Craft offers a wide range of different takes on communities that will freshen up your game.

I made a modpack!

Hello!
With the server down, I thought it would be fun if I made a modpack to stop myself from getting bored. Now that it's done, I present it to you as well :D

"Reverie of the Mage" is a modpack made by me for the Technic Launcher (ik technic is outdated, but it's the easiest and fastest to use). It focuses mainly on medieval and magical mods, and there are a whole bunch of dungeons and structures dotted around too so that exploration is rewarded.

It doesn't work on multiplayer yet as far as I know, but I'll do my best to set up a temporary server when I have time, and would appreciate if you could report any problems to me so I can try to sort them out. Installation instructions and a place to leave bug reports can be found here:

Dear friends,

As of this moment SanctuaryCraft will be down for an unknown period. In this message I will explain what the reasons are behind this and what this will mean for the future of the Minecraft server.

When I originally decided to start a minecraft server within the network it seemed a great idea. Link was supportive and seemed to find it a good idea. As any person, I had my opinion on certain things Link had done in the past, but not in a way that I saw him as incapable of leading a network. I was glad to be able to welcome so many Sanctuary Network members from the TTT server, more than I had anticipated. I would like to thank Link and Connor for that opportunity, honestly.

But in the past few weeks I’ve come to see a side link that I can’t work with. I’ve come to realise that working together with Link was a mistake, no matter how much members I gained from the Sanctuary Network. People had warned me in advance of this, but as I had said before, I hadn’t experienced link in the way I’ve experienced him now.

By the time we launched the server Link had not only made it harder, but also enourmously less enjoyable for me to manage the server. That said, I have decided to leave the Sanctuary Network.

What happens to my town now? you may ask. Your towns and houses will be untouched as long as I’ve got the server closed. I’m sorry for letting so much hard work wait there. I simply do not want any dramatic events occuring on the server as long as this is done. After that I will rename the community and continue as it was.

Personally, I would like to say I’m sorry for all those who played on the server. I’m hoping this all passes with a certain maturity and without any drama.
