The Way Ahead

Another Primal Carnage Games has come and gone, and we managed to secure our second victory against the home team! I'm incredibly proud of the whole team and the work you all did, and the skin codes we won are well deserved. I'd also like to thank PancakeJackass for stepping in as substitute for S.H.I.L.D at a very short notice.

I fear that the 4th Primal Carnage Games, which will take place on the first weekend of April, will be even tougher than the previous two have been. I suspect that the home team will assemble their very best players specifically to beat us, just to prove that they can.

So what shall we do? Everyone is encouraged to practice as much as they can on their own, or alongside other Refrigeraptors. Again, voice chat is preferred as it makes coordination so much easier.

Also, KaitouCat came up with the idea of organizing a GTTC match against the Lukewarm Media team to see how good they (and we) are at it. Mr. Shank and I have been talking about this, and we're both going to scramble together as many from our teams as possible. Based on the results, we might consider GTTC as a possible gamemode for the next Primal Carnage Games. If you're available on Saturday and want to participate, please tell us in a comment below!

Additionally, in an effort to improve team morale, I want us all to get together one day to watch Jurassic Park together! (Online streaming, of course.) I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on this - if you would be interested in joining, and in that case, when? I'm thinking maybe Friday or Saturday next weekend (March 15th or 16th,) but I'd like to hear your ideas, so please post them below!

In other news, Preowned, KaitouCat and Fatalis have been working hard to understand how Twitch.tv works, and Fatalis has set up our very own Refrigeraptors livestream channel[www.twitch.tv]! We will use this to stream our game this Saturday. Nicely done, people!

It's time for the near biweekly team newsletter again!

Since my previous post several changes have been made to the team, and I'll get the sad ones out of the way first. We regrettably had to ask our energetic Dutchman (RainbowDashie) to leave us so we could use the spot for someone who would match the rest of the team's time zones better. Personally I despise telling people to leave, but it was in the team's best interest. We'll miss you Dashie!

Kessno, who helped us win the second Primal Carnage Games a month ago, resigned for various reasons. Since none of us had a net, we couldn't exactly trap him (see what I did there?) In any case, it's sad to see you go, Kessno!

Cykotyk stepped down as de facto leader of the team and passed the reigns to none other than yours truly. Cykotyk will eventually return as lead, but she has decided to test your Co-Captains and enjoy a long lazy break. You can, however, still go to her if you have any questions, concerns or ideas, but I'll take over most of the responsibility that comes with leading a pack of raptors in a fridge. Here's hoping I don't mess up too badly. Also, Kaitou Cat will also have a temporary run as lead for the next Primal Carnage games.

And now onto happier news! Preowned has joined our ranks and will hopefully wreak havoc on the home team at some point. The way I understand it, he probably won't be available during the Primal Carnage Games 3, but there's always another chance after that. We wish you the best of luck, Preowned!

Which brings us to the upcoming weekend's big event: The third Primal Carnage Games! If you know that you'll definitely be available on Saturday, please add a comment to this announcement and tell us which session you prefer. In case you've forgotten, the first session is probably going to start at 1PM EST (19:00 CET), and the second session will likely begin at 6PM EST (00:00 CET).

I'll post more information about the next Games as soon as I get it. Until then, it would be awesome if you could all squeeze in a few Primal Carnage hours before the weekend begins, and post your preferred session!
