Hi and welcome to the RNE Steam group. RNE has a long history dating from the late 90's when a small group of friends decided to play FPS games together. Quake and UT were the go-to games then, but the clan really blossomed with the introduction of SOF2. After that game died off we went our separate ways, and only recently came back into contact via the wonder of social networks. We're mature and we believe in fun, respect and social interaction.

Our goals are simple:
1. Provide a fun social atmosphere to play in.
2. Foster an environment of excellence and helpfulness
3. Create a casual non-demanding clan experience, with a small competitive group

Our structure is also simple and flat. We have a leader that handles central administrative tasks. An officer group makes daily decisions about scrims, recruitment and activities. Moderators help with social communication. Regular members can offer to become a moderator or officer at any time; and be accepted if they are in good standing and have a contribution to make. At some point Officer positions may become limited, due to the cookie jar not being big enough.

We have a Steam Group which we will use until the clan grows big enough to use our own website. We have the ability to put a website in place when needed. We have a TS3 server which we can expand when needed. All we need is for these things to be needed, and that means that you need to join! I know, we need a lot.

I'd like to invite you to start something new with us. We're looking for players that want to get in on the ground floor and establish themselves as core members. Fun and exciting times lay ahead as the group grows with your help and input. We don't care what skill level you have or how long you've been playing, as long as you keep it fun and are willing to learn and grow.
