Due to Rocket Leagues unique trading system, compared to other steam games, it imposes a number of restrictions when it comes to basic trading.

When trading Rocket League items for items used in e.g. csgo / dota 2, this will have to be in done in two seperate trades, such trades are risky unless you are trading with a trusted person, and the greatest way to determine if someone is trustworthy is by refering to a repthread.
So why are repthreads trustworthy? When it comes to repthreads, the control of what is commented is completely up to the people who post the comments. The owner of the repthread is not able to delete unwanted comments, meaning that whatever is posted is there to stay. However, the owner of the thread has the ability to appeal them to an admin / moderator, who then, if not presented with sufficient evidence of fraudulent activity, can remove the comment.
