Nothing beats the atmosphere of a cozy country pub with open fire

The lovely accents from the various areas, fish and chips at a pub with a pint. The great expressions that are only British, the Union Jack, castles, moors, bands….

Sitting in the pub garden on a sunny Sunday afternoon. A day at the seaside, fish and chips and a 99 ice cream. British sense of humour. Moaning about the weather (horribly apt right now).

Drinking a hot cup of traditional tea with milk no sugar, especially when you’re distressed, I’m a firm believer in the phrase “there isn’t a problem a cuppa can’t fix”; taking a long walk down a narrow street with small village shops which look like you’ve gone back in time a century or so and make you feel at home like nothing else in the world; watching BBC under a blanket; reading Jane Austen’s novels in the garden/ park on a sunny afternoon; the scent of freshness after a rain in the morning when you head out; looking at the landscape from the top of a castle tower; the well-mannered approach to every situation, the poise, the elegance of everyone and everything British.

‘Full English’ breakfast. Afternoon tea. ‘Wellies’. Visit to the Garden Centre.
The Royal Family of course and Buckingham Palace.

Watching Doctor Who; and carrying a brolly everywhere.


Gardens, stoic, dry sense of humor and boiled veggies.

Sharing a cup of tea with a neighbor or friend!

Good manners, staying classy, being confident and well put together. James Bond and The Doctor. The Royal Family. That AWESOME flag. I want to be British…
