We will start the transition from TeamSpeak to RaidCall in the coming days.
This is to prevent being interupted during a competitive game either through a league or through Steam's competitive matchmaking system. This is particuarly poinent since the Teamspeak we are currently using is also used by the 12th Mechanised ArmA group. Since this group uses a multitude of games other than ArmA, the increased risk of being interupted in the heat of a game are massively.

Another purpose is to de-clutter the 12th Mechanised Teamspeak, as we're practically bringing strangers and people who aren't fully trusted by the guys at 12th Mech into their Teamspeak. I have not spoken to Dale about this however, but it is an obvious concern I would have if it was my Teamspeak.

I am by no means stopping you guys from using the 12th Mech Teamspeak, since Tonto and Johnz are still a part of that community, so if you wish to use the Teamspeak for EVE or anything else you may be playing, that's fine, however I would ask that 12th Mech players are not in our RaidCall group.

RaidCall is a free to download software like Teamspeak but allows us to host a completely free group where voice chat and text chat is possible. I mulled over the idea of using Dolby Axon, but in the end I personally did not like the layout of it (again, if you wish to use Dolby Axon for anything other than competitive Counter-Strike, feel free to do so.)

Gentlemen, this is not negotiable. You can voice your concerns about using RaidCall to me, but this decision is final. The transition to RaidCall will begin with immediate effect.


On a sidenote, now that everyone has their Steam ID linked to their ESL account, I will now begin considering adding us to ladder or cup (more than likely a cup since there's less immediate dedication), however much practice is needed before we do begin entering leagues and cups. I will soon be assigning designated days for training and prior to training I will post the agenda for the evenings training. I want to improve our attitude to this and want this to succeed. If we knuckle down and try hard, we should have little problem in gaining success soon since all of us here have potential.
