A new Minecraft MMO server in development

Project Vela is a new Minecraft MMO server in development. The main goal of Project Vela is to immerse the Minecraft player into a world that is not unlike an MMORPG you would see out there. Project Vela is planned to have more than 6000 explorable, terraformed chunks, made to include small towns, big cities, dungeons, quest areas, and more. A sleek level progression system will be implemented, so gaining experience is both a grind, and an adventure. A giant preconstructed world will be made, to make the player feel as if they are in not just a minecraft world, but a whole continent, allowing for 3 - 4 hours of on-foot travel time between coasts. way-gates will be in each major city allowing for easier travel around large landmarks. Upon loading, players will be presented with a number of class choices, and be able to level up to 60 with each class. Players will be able to save their load-outs for specific classes, and change between them within certain designated locations, such as cities. The possibility of expansions which will more areas for higher level players who want more of difficulty will be decided on after creating the core areas.

If you wish to learn more or be a part of production, we need building, programming, and writing volunteers. This Project is under a directed time frame of 6 months, however may be released earlier or later based on production speed.
