Project: Test Cube Alpha Testing.

Hey, so if you are reading this then you have been selected to be an Alpha tester for Test Cube. Test Cube is a platformer game that is story driven (something that isn't too common in the market) and will be a host to new gameplay mechanics as well as some already existing and loved ones.

Some commonly asked questions:

What is an alpha build of an app?

Well an Alpha build of an app is a very early version of an app that usually doesn't contain all of the features planned for the finished version. Alpha versions of apps also usually contain a lot of bugs and that is one of the reasons why testers are needed.

When will the game be released?

The final date is not decided but I hope if to be sometime this autumn of 2019 (spring if you are on the southern hemisphere). I feel this gives enough time for Test Cube to be developed and to ensure it is of a high quality.

What platforms will Test Cube be avaliable on?

Well when it first launches it will be avaliable on Windows PC and most Android devices. I will also plan to port it onto Mac OS X a little after the launch. Sorry guys no iOS, it just costs too much.

What do I exactly do with the Alpha?

You just play the game, its that simple and then give some feedback. It can be good or bad. Just please be honest because by being honest it will allow Test Cube to be a best game it can possibly be.

How do I report an issue/bug?

Well there are a few ways to report any bugs or issues you may encounter.

Option1: You send a screenshot of it. I may be able to figure out the cause and be able to fix it but a screenshot may not always be enough to see the cause.

Option2: You video yourself preforming the glitch and send it to me. This will provide enough details to see what exactly happened and will make my life a lot easier to find the cause and fix it.

Option3: You just tell me in person or message or whatever. Describing the glitch and what you did to get it will help but may not be detailed enough but if you have no other evidence then this is better than nothing.

What do I get for being an Alpha tester?

Well if you are someone who isn't doing it out of the goodness of their hearts then don't worry. You will get a free copy of the full version on a platform of your choice (apart from Android as it will be free) and this is something you can put on your CV and I can guarantee the employer will be impressed as not too many people will say they were an alpha tester for a game. Your name will also be put in the credits if you wish to have it there, I'm not forcing you to have a name in the credits.

Can I tell people about the game?

Yeah! That would be amazing, getting some early word out about it would really help in the long run in terms of marketing. If you do any promotion or refering I would be very grateful!
