Have a suggestion for theHunter: Primal? Join us!

This is a group dedicated to listing realistic and sensible suggestions for theHunter: Primal with the ultimate goal of contacting the developers directly and hoping to get some changes going in this game. If you have a suggestion that you think is sensible, feel free to add it to the pending suggestions forum or the mod team directly. Me or one of the Admins will add your post to the group in a consistent format.

How do I submit a suggestion?
To submit a suggestion, simply post it in the comments of the group or post a comment on my personal profile (PhantomRaptor) and me or one of my Admins will write it up into the format I'm sticking with (to keep it consistent and easy to read for the developers). You will be fully credited on the suggestion page, also (along with a link to your profile).

How will this actually reach the developers?
That's a good question, because I can't be fully sure that it will, however, once there are a few good suggestions tied to the group I'll be contacting the developers via email and facebook about the group, as well as messaging Alena Rybik (theHunter and Primal's community manager) directly via Steam. I have had some limited contact with the developers before due to my steam guide on the game, so maybe they'll be more likely to pay attention. At the very least, this will be a good place to discuss the game and/or suggest things that you would like to see.

What counts as an unrealistic suggestion?
Whilst we all want great things for the game, some suggestions that people come up with in the community are ridiculous. This game uses the same game engine as theHunter, and major gameplay tweaks are unrealistic at this time as it would mean modifying the game engine as a whole, which is a lengthy and costly process, especially as the game in its current state is no longer drawing in a large number of new players.
For example.. there is no use in asking for things such as vehicles, as these have never been a part of theHunter experience. Not only would this be extremely difficult to add to the game, it also removes any need for travelling on foot and you could literally just... drive away from the animals or into them, instantly removing any difficulty or strategy the game currently has.

Roleplay, Advertising or Hating on the game. You are entitled to your own opinion on what is good and not good in a game, but this group is not the place to voice it.

Possible activity on SteamDB

As always, there's a decent chance this could mean nothing - given the relative silence (apart from sorting out some server issues) I would say it probably is nothing, but if you take a gander at SteamDB you can see that the 'maxsize' (which I presume is for the game download, what else), has been upped from 2.13 to 2.78GB, which is a pretty sizeable jump and, if I'm being hopeful, I would say thats about the right size for a pretty nice update...

We shall see, that was 15 days ago. Since then it has changed depots (but with no further changes), which was 10 days ago.

Once more we wait, fellow hunters.

I have a history page for logs for when they update Primal and as of this post 16 hours ago they made some changes within the game. I kept seeing log names such as Primal beta depot with many files which i could not open. I share the link with you all. See what you make of it. @Dumbfounded Polymath: As I said to "the Dapper Allosaur", we are trying to prompt EW's interest by trying to offer plausable suggestions for changes to the game, without some of the vitriol of some of the other unmoderated forums. Frankly, I think we are beating our heads against the wall... however.... EW and Avalanche appear to have not entirely abandoned this project as the job posting by Avalanche Studios for a lead programmer for "the Hunter" and "the Hunter: Primal" might indicate.

@The Dapper Allosaur - Welcome! PhantomRaptor has a somewhat regular correspondence with Aleyna, who is one of the public relations folks over at EW. We are hoping if we get some reasonable requests from the player community that can work within the confines of the engine TH and THP are developed on, we might get some renewed interest in the game. IMHO, from an ambience standpoint, this is the best dinosaur hunting game out there. But it's still glitchy, and it still is "feature poor". We're hoping to work with the devs to address some of that. It's a long shot, but what have we got to lose?
