Union eSports Society

Founded in 2016, Herts SU eSports Society is the home for gamers and competitive esports at the University of Hertfordshire. We support all the major esports titles, including League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, Rocket League and Hearthstone. We host events for casual and serious gamers alike, from Rocket League for fun to 1v1 CS:GO for prizes.

For 2017/18, we want to do more. Much more.

Expanding on what we did last year, we're committed to being the home for gamers at UH. Weekly online events and frequent offline events, varsity LAN held in Hatfield, awesome merchandise, trips to live events in London and beyond. All of this, and more, is available to our members, so join up!

On top of that, we will be greatly expanding our NUEL and competitive esports presence, both online and at LAN. We will be holding tryouts for our competitive teams at the start of the academic year, so stay tuned.


Anyone can join Herts SU eSports Society, regardless of whether you're a student at the University of Hertfordshire - however the society is primarily intended for students, staff and alumni.


There's a couple of ways to join the society:

1. Go to a Hertfordshire Students' Union office and join there - you can find them in the Hutton building (opposite The Forum) on College Lane Campus, or next to the Weston Auditorium on De Havilland Campus.

2. Log in to the SU website at hertfordshire.su, and buy a subscription there.
