An Event to Memorialize Overwatch's Free to Play Weekend.

Many of us Overwatch veterans have long hoped for the day when our friends join us in the wonderful game of Overwatch. That being said, Overwatch has many, many foundational rules of play which are essential to success in the game. With that in mind, what better way to introduce our friends to this game, en-masse, than to dump all of them into a game at once with no training? Why, commentating it like a sporting event, of course!

Ok, so you're interested, but you're not sure just what you need to do. Right, well, here are the steps you should take to make yourself ready for game-time:

1. Visit http://us.battle.net/en/ and download the BattleNet client (think of it as Steam, but for Blizzard games) and create you account, if you don't have one already.

2. Download Overwatch per the instructions in the BattleNet client (ideally on Friday, November 18th, when the game becomes free to download, but any time before the event starts is a good idea)

3. Take Note! We will be hosting this event on North American Servers, so be sure to set that option before launch. To do this, when you've opened up the BattleNet client, in the bottom left you'll find a dropdown list of regions. Select North America, and then boot up Overwatch!

4. *SIGN UP*
Be sure to check out the Discussion page of this Steam group to reserve your spot in the event. The sooner the better, as we might not be able to fit everyone in, so we'll have to go by first-come, first served.
