Rules: The cost of expanding into a new regions is how much you used on your army

if your treasury falls below -50,000 Your nation will fall into open rebellion and you will not be able to expand or spend anymore money

New regions start with 500,000 (whatever currency they have)

To expand to the new world you must have a navy

Colonies make trade income double but are more rebellious to taxing

You can conquer and raid a region to get double the money you spent on your army. So if you spent 15,000 on an army that conquered and raided a region you'd get 15,000 and the other 15,000 you get would pay for your army.
