I don't get massages very often, because I either can't afford them, or I don't think I can afford them. I finally decided to try Massage Specialists since my neck felt essentially frozen in place and my back was a quilt of knots.
My massage therapist was Liam, who has the hands of a T-800 Terminator, but luckily uses his powers for good instead of evil. I will say that I have a hard time relaxing, and it took me a while to loosen up. I tried to imagine the knots in my back unlocking like padlocks, but then my imagination got all stressed, like "Where are all the keys to these padlocks? Have you seen the keyring?!" Later I began to worry that Liam might accidentally use some Ninja finger combination on me and leave me paralyzed. These are the kinds of things that go through my head while getting a massage.
Soon, however, I was nearly asleep, despite the serious work Liam was giving my back and neck. When my hour was up, I was groggy as if I had been napping for hours. Today my back feels a little sore (expected), but great overall.
