Return Trip is a Gamemode for Left 4 Dead 2 made by Utamia that has 4 survivors backtrack their way through the campaign (currently only No Mercy & The Parish are available), stealthing around infected & managing their resources for hooks to make it back to the start. There they must collect 4 gas cans and bring them back to the helicopter at the finale to escape! Do you have what it takes to survive? Come join the server and find out!

Return Trip takes place on Expert Realism & has survivors spawn at the finale with their last few resources, they must travel back to the start of the campaign to retrieve enough gas to fuel up the helicopter. From there survivors must trek back to the finale & fuel up the helicopter to escape.

There quite a few differences from vanilla gameplay-wise

• Survivors must stealth (by either walking or crouching). Infected (CI, SI, & Tanks) wont alert unless survivors make a loud sound, damage them, get too close, or get vommitted on.
  
  
• Loot doesn’t spawn on the ground instead items are located on “hooks” that cost health to use. Press [Vocalize Look] on hooks to see what they cost.
  
  
• There are unique items: Keys to open lockers of loot, suppressors to suppress your weapon & avoid alerting infected, and special powerup items only available in Return Trip.
  
  
• Perma-death is active, go down your out. Worry not survivors can find a defib & head back to the map you died on to revive you!
