this is in reference to creating terrain btw. texture is in referentce to the map used to create the texture...sorry for the multi post.

Ok, well perhaps this is usless, but figured out the "mylevel" group is important, you have to use that name specifically to store your texture into the file you have created. If you try anthing else it complicates things greatly. So.. if you are creating a level texture, make sure your group name is "mylevel" ...it will save you a world of headache!!

Hey I have been having a prob, noob at mappin, but when I create a terrain, when I test I just fall and no terrain (I'm under it of course so I cant see it..) but I seem to be a bit confused as to how to created the texture package from the start.. thinking this is my problem as I my reference to my pakage "PakageName" seems to fail when I load the level. I have figured out a way to create a new pakage of the same name, but I dont think it is importing my terrain image to this by default. no mention on the tutorials and what not to this prob, seems to just work for folks... Should the unreal edditor be asking me to save a pakage as well by default and it is not now? Thank for any help, sorry if this is not the place to post.. kinna a lot of groups in steam.. ;)
