Whether Italy, Italia, The Kingdom, or the Republic of Italy, Italia has had a long and fruitful history...

Between the 17th to the 11th century BC Greeks established the 1st known contact with Italian tribes. 300 years later they established colonies in Italy, as did the Phoenicians. Strangely a small farming community not only ruled all of Italy, but became the Great Roman Empire, one of the greatest civilizations the world has ever seen. Harboring great leaders such as Caesar. It unfortunately managed to slowly decline. Since then, Italy has been conquered and misused ,notably the French, many times, yet continued to have the Greatest flourishing art and culture period of the World.
Today (1840-65) Italy has recently been made whole. Though its days of glory in at, culture, and empires have been long gone, Italy is still a major power and is on the rise. Though not the Greatest Empire Today, Italy's Colonial possessions are #1 in the book and rival the greatness of the Roman Empire itself. Now it is up to Italy and her allies to re-dominate all of italy’s and her allies rightful possessions, and possibly even unite the world. Who knows...Italians might go to the moon!
