Hunters are Humans who possess mysterious magical abilities. Even the weakest, E-Rank Hunters, have slightly abnormal strength and regeneration compared to normal people. Usually Hunters will belong to a Hunter Guild.

There are 6 ranking levels based on the amount of magic power measured emanating from a Hunter, as measured by the Hunter Associations. There is an unofficial 7th rank, the so called National Level rank, whose powers are beyond even that of S-Rank. There are only 5 people in the world who are at this level.
