We are the Hayward Rangers

The city of hayward was a beautiful place once filled with many parks and national hunting grounds. The hayward Rangers were park rangers who would patrol the parks and hunting ranges of hayward protecting them was the number one priority with poachers and also many people trying to over hunt certain animals. The rangers were a sub-police unit which allowed them to carry lethal firearms and also were trained in non lethal methods of bean bag guns and tasers. These men would ensure vandalism and poaching was not going on and they had many cases where poaches with weapons would turn on the rangers with lethal weapons and would be shot due to poachers valuing the money they would be given for their hunt.
The rangers would often band together on hunts themselves of course these were licensed and many competitions were held to see who the best ranger was. They were a group of brothers and sisters and they always looked out for one another as they had a serious outlook on their job. When the outbreak hit these rangers assembled with their friends and family, they made sure everyone was alright, gathered supplies and weapons from ranger stations up and down hayward and then banded together to build a settlement just outside of hayward.
With constant threat of being attacked by looters and infected the rangers became irritated by the lack of human affection and when attacked the rangers would often make enemies, they still relied off of the supplies and resources hayward would offer them and they felt hayward was theirs as they looked after it before they outbreak so why should they not own it now. Rangers will often take a tax to allow people in and out of the city but they will kill anyone if they do not feel they are welcome in the city.
This is why the rangers have become a notorious bandit group and will stop at nothing to keep the lush supplies of hayward all to themselves, so watch out because entering the city of hayward could be more dangerous than you think the rangers are on patrol….
