One of the greatest things about BF2 and what gives it its longevity is all the mods and modding comunity, Dice gave us the modding tools for free back then but now in most newer games theyre just used as another way to make money.. build a few new maps, skin a few weapons and uniforms and call it new download content then sell it for £10 - £20..
I reckon new H/W is deffinatly on the cards for BF3 HuGo_0 !! :p

yeah i hope so! A lot of these games now have a 6-8 mth life.older games like Unreal series and BF2 you got a good couple of years out of them easy, we need that back!
+ my EP45-UD3P is wanting to turn into a Z68 G1.Sniper 2 just for BF3 :)

I hope your right HuGo, this is a chance for PC gaming to come back and I think the BF series could be the one to do it! lets hope so :)

BC2 was a fun time filler between the proper battlefield series, just didnt have the full on big world feel, felt a bit more CODish
BF2 looks a bit dated now in 2011 but gameplay wise it was pritty much on the mark, hopefully BF3 follows.

In terms of hardware utilisation we won't be disappointed but feature and design may bring the gameplay down. Let's hope they have Bf2 in mind. :)

Lets just hope we dont get a console port for BF3! Thats why the original BF series was so much better..because it was built for pc and not a dumbed down console game pad rubbish :-P
