COH2 Tournaments

[Double Elimination Tournament]

Each round will last 3 days and teams can play their games at any point during that time

Dates: (US EDT)

Monday June 15 @ 6:00 pm - The tournament details and rules will be officially announced

Friday June 19 @ 6:00 pm - Registration for 2v2 teams ends * REGISTRATION EXTENDED TO JUNE 23

Saturday June 20 @ 6:00 pm - Tournament bracket released * BRACKET WILL BE MADE FOLLOWING THE CLOSING OF REGISTRATION

Friday June 26 @ 12:00 am - Round one begins!!

Reporting Wins/Losses: Report the results after you have played your matches. As long as nothing is misreported I don't need evidence. It is important that all replays be saved after each game and also screenshot the game results after the game ends. Any discrepancy in reporting will be validated by replays and screenshots.

Match Settings: 500 VP, Random Starting Positions (Except Tie-breaker), All maps will be current 2v2 Automatch Maps except for maps that are rated 4-6 players or 4-8 players (currently Ettelbruck and Rhzev)

First Round through Semifinal Round:

-- Best of 3 maps
-- First Game: North team chooses either map or faction and then South team makes remaining choice
-- Second Game: South team chooses either map or faction and then North team makes remaining choice
-- Third Game (Tie-Breaker): Team with most combined VP remaining from first two games chooses faction or map, the team with less combined VP makes remaining choice, and then the first team chooses its starting position

Final Round:

-- Best of 5 maps
-- First Game: North team chooses either map or faction and then South team makes remaining choice
-- Second Game: South team chooses either map or faction and then North team makes remaining choice
-- Third Game: North team chooses either map or faction and then South team makes remaining choice
-- Fourth Game: South team chooses either map or faction and then North team makes remaining choice
-- Fifth Game (Tie-Breaker): Team with most combined VP remaining from first two games chooses faction or map, the team with less combined VP makes remaining choice, and then the first team chooses its starting position

Disconnects/Bugsplats

These are the general guidelines that players are entitled to. Teams can agree to deal with these situations however they please. Play can continue with AI filling in for dropped players. [One] player leaving the game does not mean a team must forfeit. *BOTH PLAYERS INTENTIONALLY QUITTING THE GAME IS THE SAME AS FORFEITING A GAME

If a player's connection drops or the game bugsplats within the first 3 minutes, the map can be replayed. This courtesy is only good once per player per round. It is recommended that following one of these incidents a player should restart their computer or modem/router.

After 3 minutes, the opposing team does not have to concede a replay. In cases where a game was close (team's VP within 10 VP or so), it is recommended that an arrangement be made such as the unlucky team getting a VP reduction to half their VP at the time of drop and restarting the map. Example: score is 300-290 when player drops, so the game is restarted with a consideration that team one has 300 VP and team 2 has 145 VP.

Dropping from a game intentionally or "grieving" is not protected by any of these guidelines..

Conduct

We are all adults so let's act like it. A little smack talk is to be expected but this is a friendly atmosphere so let's be responsible. Racist and obscene remarks won't be tolerated. One warning and then after that you are done.

Clan members will be monitoring the games and discussion to make sure everything goes smoothly.
