TEAM FLYCO ESPORTS

Team Flyco was a prominent South Korean eSports organization that first became notable during the rise of StarCraft 2. They have since achieved success in Dota 2, League of Legends, and Heroes of the Storm. On November 17, 2015, the organization announced that they would be expanding into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, also releasing a video with their roster and staff. The organization's CS:GO team competes under the name Flyco Project in reference to Project_kr, a famous Korean Counter-Strike: 1.6 team.
In full, Flyco, is a Korean multigaming team consisting of members mainly from Flyco Clan. Beginning as a osu! team in late 2010 as the GSL began, it entered the CS:GO arena in September 2013 on the same day its osu! squad left the eSports Federation to eventually join KeSPA.

History

On December 15, 2010, Team Flyco was officially recognized as a team by Korea osu! Association.

Between August 23, 2011 and April 17, 2012, Flyco's osu! team had a partnership with compLexity Gaming, and were known as coL.Flyco.

On March 2nd, 2012, Razer was announced as a team sponsor, and a month later, shortly after the conclusion of the coL.Flyco partnership, on April 19th, Flyco partnered with Meet Your Makers. All Flyco and Meet Your Makers members played under the tag MYM.FLYCO.

On September 1st, 2013, Team Flyco resigned from osu! and entered the CS:GO scene and arena and started dominating in the Korean eSports scene.

It was Flyco that would become the first Korean team to advance to an International when they qualified for Playoff Phase One at The International 2014, defeating Virtus.pro before losing to Team Liquid. One year later, Flyco made the Main Event and made history after defeating defending champion Newbee and then Team Empire to finish in the Top 8. At The International 2016, Flyco became the first Korean team to earn a seed into The International's upper bracket and defeated OG in the upper bracket quarterfinals to secure another Top 8 finish.
