Ok, so your having small to big issues with your PC over reacting while your trying to perform 1 of the biggest plays in SoADA history right, come to find out, your PC just spiked or drops horribly and quick and your rage just pouring off your forehead like sweat-beads. Well you've came to the right place to find out how in a few simple clicks to fix that problem.
[left]Note: This also goes with the Performance Help Fyst has already posted, all suggestions made are only of opinions and is made to help enhance your gaming experience since this game is still fairly new. Over time, these settings or tips may or may not still help as the patches get better over time.[/left]

Tip#1:
In this image below, it shows that turning the graphics down will help from lagging in game. You can try from the games default(highest) working down to Medium and then Lowest(lowest is for slower computer models)

If you notice, your FPS should get better in-game.

Tip#2: 
[left]Disabling steams game overlay. Now, I know most of you out there think its the coolest thing on the block right? Agreed, however since alot of games that brings another issue with steam itself. Therefore, disabling it, will help you alot more then you think. 

Head to the Sings of a Dark Age > right-click Properties

Next, to disable the in-game steam overlay, un-check it just like in the picture.
