Got some pretty big news to share and I’m going to try to break it down as best as I can.

Counter Strike Global Offensive Tournament News:
As of today, the CSGO tourney on August 26th has been pushed to late September or October. More news will be given as it develops, but trust me you all are going to love the new changes! We are always trying to improve the way we do these here at CoLiveStream. Its pretty exciting what opportunity we have been given, but I don't want to release any notes until its been finalized :D Please be sure to follow us to get more updates and we will update you guys when we can.
I have issued refunds to all teams that has registered so far, please allow 5-10 business days for your refund to appear. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Some good news! I am very excited to announce that CoLIveStream is now an official Twitch Affliate! WHAT WHAT!?! That’s right, we now have the coveted “Subscribe” button with perks for all our subscribers! Also any purchase made on our twitch channel or bits given in our chat will go directly to CoLiveStream and to help us run more events and improve our service!

First off, Congratulations! I want to thank you guys for participating in our second CLS CSGO Tournament. We have since double our prize pool and the amount of teams participating so I am super excited to finally get this going for you guys. For the information below, I wanted to give you guys an idea on how this tournament is going to be run and what you guys can expect. If at anytime you guys run into any issues or have additional questions please let us know.

Tournament Day/Check In Process:
On Saturday morning June 10h, Team captains or ONE representative of your team will need to check in at 9:30am PST on our Discord. You simply have to message one of our CLS Staff members or Admins to let us know your team is ready and available. Once confirmed, you are free to contact your opponents and start your map vetos. You do not have to use our discord for your team, you may use your own VOIP as far as communicating with your team mates, but it is recommended that all your team members are available either in Discord or the Steam group. Teams that check in late or are no shows will be removed from the tournament.

Support Queue/General Questions/Admin assistance:
Before you request assistance, please be sure to review the CLS rules or the tournament info (Discord and tournament page), most of your answers can be found there and this will free up admins to assist other users.
If you need to contact an admin or if you have a general question, please have ONE person from your team wait in the support queue channel and an admin will pull you into the support room to assist you. PLEASE do not spam the chat rooms requesting assistance, you will either be ignored, given a verbal warning and worst case scenario disqualified or banned.

As a Reminder, please review the CLS rules and guidelines before the event.
Team captains are responsible for ensuring all members of their team understand and follow these rules set forth by CoLiveStream. If players do not understand the CLS rules, it is the player’s responsibility to make sure you get help from our CLS Staff so that you do. At no time will ignorance of these rules be considered a valid defense. It is up to the players to be sure they are free of technical issues and ready to play prior to a scheduled match. If you would like to test our CLS servers before the scheduled event, please reach out to a CLS admin for assistance.

CLS Free Tournament 16 team schedule. Group and Single Elimination Bracket – 1 day event

Here is our schedule for our tournament. Please keep in mind as these are estimated times and we will try to stay as close to the schedule as possible. We will try to start any matches that happen to finish early so ALL teams should be available and ready to play regardless of the start time.

2 teams will advance from each bracket to participate in the Playoffs. We currently have 14 teams registered as of June 8th and assuming if all teams show, the schedule should relatively stay the same. Again, please note that these times are estimated and subject to change. Everyone should be available to play when contacted.

Schedule - Group Stages
9:30am Check in
10:00am Group Stage - 1st matches
11:15am Group Stage 2 – Losers bracket match and Upper Bracket Qualifier
12:30pm – Group Stage Round - Lower Bracket Qualifier

1:30 pm - Break

Schedule - Playoffs
2:30pm - Playoff First round matches.
3:30pm – Semi Finals B03
6:30pm – Grand Finals B03, 3rd/4th place finisher B03

Groups will be a Best of one, while Semi and Grand Finals will be a Best of Three
Map pool: Nuke, Mirage, Cache, Cobblestone, Overpass, Train, Inferno, Dust 2
Map Veto (https://csgomapveto.com/): 3 bans for each team and last two maps will be randomized. Use CSGO Map Veto and Screenshot Map Veto results in case of disputes.

If you have looked at the bracket, you will notice that bracket group two only has two teams. Bracket group two will play a Best of Three and will only have one team advance from their groups. This leaves one bye available for the playoff matches. To determine who gets the Bye for playoffs, the team who lost the least amount of rounds during Bracket Groups will be chosen. (For example, Team One won by 16-10 while Team Two won by 16-5, in this case Team Two only loss 5 rounds therefore will have a better chance at seeding).

Our CLS Casters Lulumeister and Mahone will be casting your matches live for our viewers to watch. Please be sure to share our twitch channel with your friends and they can also join in for our stream giveaway at the conclusion of our tournament. The matches will be chosen at random and will try to cover as many teams as possible. Please be sure to check out our CLS casting service if you are interested in having matches casted outside the tournament as well.

The Match Process
Teams are responsible for communicating with each other during your scheduled matches and making sure the tournament is run on time. CLS admins will enforce this as best we can, but ultimately it is up to the players to make sure our schedule does not fall behind. For better communication between Teams, players and CLS Staff, players should join our CLS steam group and discord. CLS admins will be available on our discord and steam group page for assistance.

24-48 hours before the event users will be placed into their group brackets and server information will be designated for each group. Be sure to keep an update on your participant dashboard on Toornament to see when your matches have been scheduled.

On the day of the tournament, before connecting to your assigned server, teams are encouraged to perform their map veto’s before their scheduled matches. One player from each team will connect to a lobby on mapveto.com and complete their bans on the current map pool. A CLS admin may or may not be present during the veto, but we recommend teams take a screenshot at the end of their veto’s in order to avoid disputes.

Teams should ensure that they are in the server on time and ready to begin. Once connected, Team captains and players should check the following prior to their match.

• Confirm all players are connected on time. Match will start regardless if players are missing.
• Ensure all Steam IDs match what is registered on Tournament page (3.2.1)
• Team Captains will take screenshots of SteamIDs on the status page in console and the halftime and final scores of both teams. (3.2.2)
• ALL players must record demos for each half. Two Demos total per match (3.2.2) Be sure to stop your demo when you have switched sides and start a new demo. Demos are only requested if you have been disputed. Failure to supply demo if disputed may result in the forfeit of your match.

Once all players have connected, players must type ".ready" to initiate the knife round. One random player will see an option on their screen to select team captains, you can press either 1 or 2 to select captains or assign random captains, either way it doesn't really matter. The knife round should start immediately afterwards. Once a team has selected their starting side the match will immediately go LIVE.

".gaben / !gaben" - Set yourself as ready (during warmup).
".ready / !ready" - Set yourself as ready (during warmup).
".unready / !unready" - Unready yourself.
".pause / !pause" - Call timeout during freezetime.
".unpause / !unpause" - Call unpause during freezetime.
".pauses_used / !pauses_used" - Show total team pauses used.
".switch / !switch" - Decide to switch teams (for knife round winner).
".stay / !stay" - Decide to stay (for knife round winner).

When a match has been concluded, teams should input their scores and what map was played into the participant dashboard on Toornament. It is important that you have a registered account with Toornament.com otherwise you will not be able to access your participant dashboard and input your match scores.
Once scores have been submitted, immediately you will be assigned to your next match. If the other team has finished their match, you may contact them to play. Again, please note that the assigned schedule times is just an estimate. Teams should always be ready to play and remain idle on our steam group page in case we need to contact you. If matches finish earlier than scheduled, CLS admins will have teams play as soon as they are available.

Prize Distribution
In accordance to our CLS Rules Section 5.4.2, the gift cards will be sent to the Team Captain of each team. Since this is an online tournament, winners can opt to just have their steam codes given over direct message. Please note, that once the codes are given, we have no control regarding the activation of the cards. If you run into any issues, please contact steam directly.

If you don't end up winning, don't worry as we will also be running a Stream Giveaway at the end of our tournament! We will be giving away 2-$10 steam cards and one PM3360 courtesy of our sponsors with Plugable Technologies (Prize winners are not eligible).
