CLS Online Tournament June 10th Pre-Registration Information! IMPORTANT!

Hello!

This is going to be a long message, but it's important info for all of our participating teams! Please be sure you pass this information off to your team mates. All teams have now been placed into their respective brackets, This was chosen at random by running the shuffle feature 10 times. You can find the schedule of the matches on the tournament page. If you have any questions, please let us know.

https://www.toornament.com/tournaments/436337965314098225/information

First off, Congratulations! I want to thank you guys for participating in our second CLS CSGO Tournament. We have since double our prize pool and the amount of teams participating so I am super excited to finally get this going for you guys. For the information below, I wanted to give you guys an idea on how this tournament is going to be run and what you guys can expect. If at anytime you guys run into any issues or have additional questions please let us know.

Please have your team members join our discord and Steam group page as it is required for the tournament communication.

Discord: https://discord.me/colivestream
Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/CoLiveStream
Steam Group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/CoLiveStream
Map vetos: https://csgomapveto.com/

Tournament Day/Check In Process:
On Saturday morning June 10h, Team captains or ONE representative of your team will need to check in at 9:30am PST on our Discord. You simply have to message one of our CLS Staff members or Admins to let us know your team is ready and available. Once confirmed, you are free to contact your opponents and start your map vetos. You do not have to use our discord for your team, you may use your own VOIP as far as communicating with your team mates, but it is recommended that all your team members are available either in Discord or the Steam group. Teams that check in late or are no shows will be removed from the tournament.

Support Queue/General Questions/Admin assistance:
Before you request assistance, please be sure to review the CLS rules or the tournament info (Discord and tournament page), most of your answers can be found there and this will free up admins to assist other users.
If you need to contact an admin or if you have a general question, please have ONE person from your team wait in the support queue channel and an admin will pull you into the support room to assist you. PLEASE do not spam the chat rooms requesting assistance, you will either be ignored, given a verbal warning and worst case scenario disqualified or banned.

As a Reminder, please review the CLS rules and guidelines before the event.
Team captains are responsible for ensuring all members of their team understand and follow these rules set forth by CoLiveStream. If players do not understand the CLS rules, it is the player’s responsibility to make sure you get help from our CLS Staff so that you do. At no time will ignorance of these rules be considered a valid defense. It is up to the players to be sure they are free of technical issues and ready to play prior to a scheduled match. If you would like to test our CLS servers before the scheduled event, please reach out to a CLS admin for assistance.

CLS Free Tournament 16 team schedule. Group and Single Elimination Bracket – 1 day event

Here is our schedule for our tournament. Please keep in mind as these are estimated times and we will try to stay as close to the schedule as possible. We will try to start any matches that happen to finish early so ALL teams should be available and ready to play regardless of the start time.

2 teams will advance from each bracket to participate in the Playoffs. We currently have 14 teams registered as of June 8th and assuming if all teams show, the schedule should relatively stay the same. Again, please note that these times are estimated and subject to change. Everyone should be available to play when contacted.

Schedule - Group Stages
9:30am Check in
10:00am Group Stage - 1st matches
11:15am Group Stage 2 – Losers bracket match and Upper Bracket Qualifier
12:30pm – Group Stage Round - Lower Bracket Qualifier

1:30 pm - Break

Schedule - Playoffs
2:30pm - Playoff First round matches.
3:30pm – Semi Finals B03
6:30pm – Grand Finals B03, 3rd/4th place finisher B03

Groups will be a Best of one, while Semi and Grand Finals will be a Best of Three
Map pool: Nuke, Mirage, Cache, Cobblestone, Overpass, Train, Inferno, Dust 2
Map Veto (https://csgomapveto.com/): 3 bans for each team and last two maps will be randomized. Use CSGO Map Veto and Screenshot Map Veto results in case of disputes.

If you have looked at the bracket, you will notice that bracket group two only has two teams. Bracket group two will play a Best of Three and will only have one team advance from their groups. This leaves one bye available for the playoff matches. To determine who gets the Bye for playoffs, the team who lost the least amount of rounds during Bracket Groups will be chosen. (For example, Team One won by 16-10 while Team Two won by 16-5, in this case Team Two only loss 5 rounds therefore will have a better chance at seeding).

Match LiveStream: Twitch.tv/CoLiveStream
Our CLS Casters Lulumeister and Mahone will be casting your matches live for our viewers to watch. Please be sure to share our twitch channel with your friends and they can also join in for our stream giveaway at the conclusion of our tournament. The matches will be chosen at random and will try to cover as many teams as possible. Please be sure to check out our CLS casting service if you are interested in having matches casted outside the tournament as well.

The Match Process
Teams are responsible for communicating with each other during your scheduled matches and making sure the tournament is run on time. CLS admins will enforce this as best we can, but ultimately it is up to the players to make sure our schedule does not fall behind. For better communication between Teams, players and CLS Staff, players should join our CLS steam group and discord. CLS admins will be available on our discord and steam group page for assistance.

24-48 hours before the event users will be placed into their group brackets and server information will be designated for each group. Be sure to keep an update on your participant dashboard on Toornament to see when your matches have been scheduled.

On the day of the tournament, before connecting to your assigned server, teams are encouraged to perform their map veto’s before their scheduled matches. One player from each team will connect to a lobby on mapveto.com and complete their bans on the current map pool. A CLS admin may or may not be present during the veto, but we recommend teams take a screenshot at the end of their veto’s in order to avoid disputes.

Teams should ensure that they are in the server on time and ready to begin. Once connected, Team captains and players should check the following prior to their match.

• Confirm all players are connected on time. Match will start regardless if players are missing.
• Ensure all Steam IDs match what is registered on Tournament page (3.2.1)
• Team Captains will take screenshots of SteamIDs on the status page in console and the halftime and final scores of both teams. (3.2.2)
• ALL players must record demos for each half. Two Demos total per match (3.2.2) Be sure to stop your demo when you have switched sides and start a new demo. Demos are only requested if you have been disputed. Failure to supply demo if disputed may result in the forfeit of your match.

How to record Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnHt_dNfN5E&t=17s

Once all players have connected, players must type ".ready" to initiate the knife round. One random player will see an option on their screen to select team captains, you can press either 1 or 2 to select captains or assign random captains, either way it doesn't really matter. The knife round should start immediately afterwards. Once a team has selected their starting side the match will immediately go LIVE.

Please see below for player match commands.
".gaben / !gaben" - Set yourself as ready (during warmup).
".ready / !ready" - Set yourself as ready (during warmup).
".unready / !unready" - Unready yourself.
".pause / !pause" - Call timeout during freezetime.
".unpause / !unpause" - Call unpause during freezetime.
".pauses_used / !pauses_used" - Show total team pauses used.
".switch / !switch" - Decide to switch teams (for knife round winner).
".stay / !stay" - Decide to stay (for knife round winner).

When a match has been concluded, teams should input their scores and what map was played into the participant dashboard on Toornament. It is important that you have a registered account with Toornament.com otherwise you will not be able to access your participant dashboard and input your match scores.
Once scores have been submitted, immediately you will be assigned to your next match. If the other team has finished their match, you may contact them to play. Again, please note that the assigned schedule times is just an estimate. Teams should always be ready to play and remain idle on our steam group page in case we need to contact you. If matches finish earlier than scheduled, CLS admins will have teams play as soon as they are available.

Prize Distribution
In accordance to our CLS Rules Section 5.4.2, the gift cards will be sent to the Team Captain of each team. Since this is an online tournament, winners can opt to just have their steam codes given over direct message. Please note, that once the codes are given, we have no control regarding the activation of the cards. If you run into any issues, please contact steam directly.

If you don't end up winning, don't worry as we will also be running a Stream Giveaway at the end of our tournament! We will be giving away 2-$10 steam cards and one PM3360 courtesy of our sponsors with Plugable Technologies (Prize winners are not eligible).
To be eligible for our Stream giveaway at the end of our tournament, players must complete the following…

Join our Steam Group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/CoLiveStream
Join our Discord: https://discord.me/colivestream
Follow our twitch channel: twitch.tv/CoLiveStream
Like and share our Facebook Page, be sure to tag us so we can track it: https://www.facebook.com/CoLiveStream
These must be completed before the raffle, users caught completing these after they have won will be disqualified.

While we will attempt to make this tournament as error free as possible, this is our second and largest tournament to date. We love hearing feedback from the players on what could be better and we strive to improve our tournament and service. If you do have some feedback for us, please feel free to voice your feedback on our website or talk directly to a CLS admin.

Thank you guys again for being the first participants in many CLS tournaments to come. All teams will be guaranteed to play at least two matches. Like our last tournament, this tournament is completely Free! There is no Paid Entry Fee!

Here is our current schedule format. Please keep in mind that these are estimated times and not entirely expected match times. The schedule is subject to change and it is important that teams are available to be contacted and to play when required.

Bracket Groups
10 am Group Stage - 1st matches
11:30 Am Group Stage – Losers bracket match and Upper Bracket Qualifier
1pm Group Stage Round - Lower Bracket Qualifier
Playoffs
2:30pm - Playoff First round matches.
4pm – Semi Finals B03
7:00pm – Grand Finals B03, 3rd/4th place finisher B03

To improve on some elements from our last tournament, we made some small changes to the way the tournament will be run. We also would like to address some issues that we came across and hopefully this will serve as a reminder to teams to please read our CLS rules prior to the tournament day.

•	New Servers! Thanks for your feedback!: From our last tournament, we were able to test different server providers and eliminate the ones that were causing issues. Hopefully we won’t run into any more server issues moving forward. If you do experience any issues, please let an CLS admin know so we can track the server performance and continue to improve our service.

•	Signing up with “Toornament.com”: A requirement is for users to register on the tournament page with a valid email address. This allows you to input your scores and to access your participant dashboards for tournament information.

•	Tournament Day, Check in Process: Team captains are expected to check in with CLS staff prior to the start of the tournament. To check in, please direct message a CLS staff member 30 minutes prior to the event start time to let them know you are ready. Teams and their players should always remain idle in our Discord and Steam Group page for communication purposes. Players should also make sure their registered names match on all platforms to avoid confusion. Teams that fail to check in will be removed from the tournament.

•	Match Schedule, Map vetos and Server information: Match schedules will be posted on our Toornament page and TV app that can be viewed on stream or through the direct link. We will do our best to keep these times updated, but it is important that teams be ready to play at all times to avoid down time. Teams may contact their scheduled opponents to begin the map veto process (instructions for this will be provided). Once map vetoes have been finished, please contact a CLS admin and wait for them to assign you a server to connect.

•	CLS Admin Support or questions: Please wait in our discord support queue channel if you need assistance or have any questions. Please do not direct message a CLS admins for general issues or you may be ignored. A CLS admin will pull you into a private channel to assist you when possible. For immediate issues such as server crashes or match issues, please direct message a CLS admin to assist. DO NOT spam the CLS general chat.

•	Prematurely forfeiting and No Shows: To run our current and future tournaments we mainly rely on our CLS Caster Livestream, Donations and dedicated community members to help us provide more events and tournament content for the community. Therefore, teams that fail to check in on tournament day, prematurely forfeiting during a match for no explanation or not properly notifying CLS staff of their team withdrawal is unfortunate to see and experience from a player and organizer perspective. By doing this, you are directly hurting the gaming community and its players from our events. We know there may be events beyond your control and we completely understand, but we ask that teams that have registered and plan to withdrawal, notify CLS prior to the tournament start date. Since we were capped at 8 teams at our last tournament, we had a few teams that had interest in playing, but they were unfortunately stuck on the waitlist.

•	Missing team members, roster changes and substitutions: This kind of goes hand in hand with no shows, but it is important that teams know where their players are at all times. We had some cases where teams could not contact their team members in time for their matches and teams had to either forfeit or play without a starting 5. We also had teams who wanted to add members to their roster on the day of the tournament and I would like to reiterate our CLS rule that this is NOT allowed. Teams must only use the members registered on their roster form the tournament page. Violation of this rule or Steam IDs that do not match their player names may see their team disqualified from the tournament. For all future tournaments, we have added another sub slot for teams bringing the total team size from 7 to 8. Hopefully this will help address any issues that may come from missing players.

•	Missing demos and disputes: It is important for teams to record their demos for each half of their scheduled matches. We had an instance where a player was reported and their replay was not available to be viewed (This would be up to the CLS admin to warrant a replay of the match or match forfeit). Also, if you wish to report a dispute against a player, it is important that you provide the time of the demo and round number that the accusation took place. Disputes without evidence or the necessary information will be disregarded.

•	Unsportsmanlike Conduct: The spirit and embodiment of CLS Casters is to provide a competitive, fun, professional, positive experience to our gaming community. During the last tournament, we unfortunately ran into some issues with unsportsmanlike conduct. The players who violated our CLS code of conduct were swiftly banned and our tournament resumed with no issues. These violations will be strictly enforced and no exceptions will be given. If there are any formal complaints with our CLS staff or against other participants, please do not openly flame, but rather notify an admin through a direct message/email or you may voice your feedback by contacting us on the CLS website.

Overall, the event was a success and most of our participant’s feedback were positive. If you have any additional feedback or questions regarding the tournament, please send us an email to contactus@colivestream.com or message us on Discord, Facebook, or Steam.

Good Luck and Have Fun!

StyLe[c0]
CoLiveStream (CLS) Casters

Check in is 9:30am. Match Process

Before the event, users will be placed into their group brackets and server information will be designated for each group. Be sure to keep an update on your participant dashboard on Toornament to see when your matches have been scheduled. We will be testing our servers and teams may find themselves switching servers between matches. If you are experiencing any issues with the servers, please let us know so we can monitor the server performance.

On the day of the tournament, before connecting to your assigned server, teams are encouraged to perform their map veto’s before their scheduled matches (at least 30 minutes before).

• Confirm all players are connected
• Ensure all Steam IDs match what is registered on Tournament page (3.2.1)
• Team Captains will take screenshots of SteamIDs on the status page in console and the halftime and final scores of both teams. (3.2.2)
• ALL players must record demos for each half. Two Demos total per match (3.2.2) Be sure to stop your demo when you have switched sides and start a new demo.

Teams will .ready to begin the knife round phase. Captains will be chosen and the Knife round will begin. Winner of knife round will choose their side by using .switch/.stay. The match will immediately begin afterwards.

Teams are given only one pause for no longer than 5 minutes.

Player Commands:

Once scores have been submitted, immediately you will be assigned to your next match. If the other team has finished their match, you may contact them to play. Please note that the assigned schedule times is just an estimate. Teams should always be ready to play and remain idle on our steam group page in case we need to contact you. If matches finish earlier than scheduled, CLS admins will have teams play as soon as they are available.

Let us know if you have any questions.

CLS Staff
