Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is dead!

It is nearly impossible to queue for a game without running into:

- a smurf on your or the enemy team

- a cheater/hacker on your or the enemy team

- a troll on your or the enemy team

- a teammates abandoning on your or the enemy team

In addition, Counter-Strike: Source maintains the feeling of a much more solid tactical FPS. Over the past few years, CSGO has continuously tried to compete with other games in the wrong ways.
This includes:

- over-saturating maps with unnecessary detail that destracts from gameplay

- replacing weapon sounds and player models to be more "flashy" and appealing

- repeated focus on features to pander to other crowds (kill cams, abysmal faction voice acting, "cooler" weapon models and skins) rather than gameplay

While additionally failing to incorperate crucial elements such as:

- a fast acting anti-cheat (VAC works, but the delayed bans simply do not work for a game of this caliber)

- new operations featuring community maps (the lack of support for community servers has leads to there being little to no incentive for map makers to do their thing. The latest one was added over a year after the previous)

- options to disable certain elements simply to make the game look more "up there" with other games (i.e. cl_use_new_headbob 0, mat_postprocess_enable 0, etc. being cheat-protected)

- 5v5 unranked match-making

- a reliable match-making system

- ways to punish trolls (other than making members of the community sort through them individually)

Overall, CSGO has been built up to be generally accepted for what it is. However, many players within the community have forgotten that the previous games have felt much more stable in terms of gameplay and style. In addition, the game itself is fundamentally flawed with the several issues and lacking features that a game this popular should have.
