- 9th (Service) Battalion, King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment) took the first line of defense at the depot, but could not take the second line and thus the depot itself.
-Both sides sustain heavy casualties
-Smaller firefights occured in the night
-Misfired Flare blew up a Grenade crate, killing 30 British soldiers of the Lancaster Regiment

-2,050 German soldiers
