In short, yes...This is a "Game of Thrones" roleplay...

This roleplay is heavily influenced and inspired by the, "A Song of Ice and Fire", series of books by George R.R. Martin. However, it will differ in some places lore-wise from the books; this is due to the admin's attempt to limit any and all potential spoiling of the books, as some of them have not yet finished "A Dance of Dragons".

This roleplay will begin approximately after the success of Robert Baratheon's rebellion; but, the roleplay will severly differ from the normal course of things. Westeros, and Essos for that matter are controlled by the various houses, nations, and city-states that ruled over their respective lands right after Robert's Rebellion. However, rather than major events and characters from the books being present, group member's characters will take their places. The houses however will still retain the lands they held, as well as their history; but will not retain any information pertaining to the time after Robert Baratheon's Rebellion.

This roleplay will also have a tolerance of zero, when it comes to ERP; these are the not the books, and I'd personally like to keep the ERP non-existant. However, a bit of low-level sensuality is OK, to a point that is; anything beyong a hug or kiss will have to be brought to PMs, failure to abide by this will result in suspension of character(s). Please also keep in mind, that the admin(s) will do their best to balance the roleplay whenever possible, ensuring that no one House dominates the continent(s).

So, will your house come to rule over the Iron Throne and King's Landing; or will your blood water the ground of Westeros?
