Помогите пожалуйста почему не работает кнопка Export ? Я хотя всё настроил и папку куда сохраняться будет и всё остальное уже 2 раза переустановил всё ровно не работает:steamsad:

Need some help, getting .py errors when I try to export. Have not been able to find a tutorial/instructions for exporting a model to sfm. On blender version 4.1.1.

I think I am having trouble importing a character model I made into SFM and as a PM + NPC for GMod, yes it does have 18-19 bodygroups and has a lot of shape keys.

@talesyoung Blender Source Tools can export it's model into a format that any source 1 game can recognize. After that, it's the game's executable that "imports" it into the game. You basically go Blender > SMD (Blender Source Tools) > Game Asset (studiomdl,exe).

im editing an qc file which i decompiled from an mdl file using crowbar, however im a little confused on how to save the qc file and i can replace the decompiled qc file with a new one, any help?

I tried to rejoin the group to update my discussion post but; I fixed my problem, the issue was the body segments on my physics model werent 100% red apparently, I missed a few spots. After this it worked perfectly. Thanks for trying to help regardless Artfunkel; that discussion post can be solved or closed or whatever

I wanted to try and add a discussion topic but it won’t let me. So I ask this.
Would it be possible to automate the “Proportion Trick” with Blender Source Tools in the future? Such that you’d import a .mdl to use its animation set, and make Blender export your model with all the existing animations angle changes only to your model’s skeleton. Or supply a folder of decompiled smd’s from that .mdl include.

Garry's Mod will be recognised as an engine branch in the next release. Until then, just leave that field blank.

I'm having trouble with exporting a cosmetic I've created for TF2. It seems to export fine, however when I try to preview my item a page shows up saying the build has failed, and at the end of a long list it says:

ERROR: unknown attachment link 'bip_head'
ERROR: Aborted Processing on 'workshop/player/items/medic/item_preview/item_preview.mdl'
CTargetMDL::Compile Failed - c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\team fortress 2\tf\models\workshop\player\items\medic\item_preview\item_preview.mdl
WARNING: CTargetZIP::Compile - Target 1 Compile Failed

Other people have seemed to run into this same problem but I don't know if anyone has figured it out yet. Does anyone else know what this means?

can someone tell me why everytime i try to export my model to either DMX or SMD, it says

"WARNING: 1042 verts on "*body part name*" have over 3 weight links. Source does not support this!"

the model is ported from BO:CW if it is of any help.
