Bitcoin is the best inflation hedge and THE digital asset of the future. There is NO second best. Why, you ask?

Government-issued currencies not backed by physical commodities, such as gold, are are called fiat currencies. Centralized authorities can freely increase the supply which causes inflation, debasement of individual units of account, and robs the working class of the purchasing power of their savings.

Bitcoin has a fixed cap of just 21 million bitcoin, enforced by math and code, that can be mined. bitcoins are divided into units of 100 million satoshis, also, known as sats (0.00000001 BTC). These are unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs).

Bitcoin is a decentralized network. The Bitcoin Blockchain is the timestamped groupings of transactions in chronological order. It is a publicly distributed ledger, and nodes validate transactions with other nodes.

Bitcoin uses a system called Proof-of-Work, which uses a competitive validation method as opposed to Proof-of-Stake which uses randomly selected miners to validate transactions.

The difficulty adjustment algorithm, recalibrates every 2016 block or roughly 2 weeks, ensures blocks are mined roughly every 10 minutes. Hash rate is the processing power used to secure the network.

After every 210,000 blocks, roughly every four years the block reward given to Bitcoin miners for processing transactions is cut in half, known as the Bitcoin Halving.

Bitcoin is the perfect money because it has, or will soon have, all the key characteristics that you'd want in the perfect system: durability, portability, divisibility, uniformity, limited supply, and acceptability
