Duelyst Beginner's Luck Tournament has concluded!

Tonight marks the end of the final segment of the first ACE Official Duelyst tournament, with the final battle between Selffaw and 32EMCM.

To remind everyone, the standings ended as follows:

1. Desparia (2-1-0)
2. Selffaw (2-1-0)
3. ACE | Rikerino (1-1-1)
4. ACE | Yess111 (1-1-1)
5. Rienhardt (0-2-1)

As the winner, Desparia won a copy of Dark Souls, and the chance to win the grand prize of the Divinity: Anthology and a $20 Steam Card (Which he almost won!). Following Desparia's loss, Selffaw took the chance to win next, but lost to 32EMCM. With Selffaw's loss, the tournament ended, but not before we raffled off the $20 Steam Card, which ended up going to Selffaw!

Thanks to all of you for participating, and hopfully we'll see you again for the next ACE Tournament!

[TOURNAMENT] Beginner's Luck

A Duelyst Tournament for members of the ACE clan who haven't yet played the game. If you have played Duelyst before, you do not qualify for entry.

We gather competitors, and roll a D6 to give them a random faction to compete as. They will use this faction and only this faction for the duration of the tournament (aside from the first game which is guaranteed Lyonar, and the endgame special). Players will complete the basic training, unlock their faction, and then play three practice games against a bot to familiarize themselves with the basic mechanics (if you happen to be Lyonar, you get 4 practice games because you don't have to unlock anything). We will then host a small Q&A session to answer any questions you have about remaining mechanics and card functions.

Then commences a round-robin style tournament using only their factions basic deck. First place will get The Witcher and The Witcher 2, second place will get Saints Row 2, 3, and 4.
The first place winner then gets to fight Will with any deck they wish, custom or otherwise, any faction. If they win against Will, they get to fight Keith. If they win against Keith, they win The Divinity Anthology. If they lose to either of us, second place gets a shot at winning the special prize. If they lose, third place gets a shot. If third place fails to win the prize, The Divinity Anthology lives to be won another day.

Tournament date will be set in accordance to player availability. Please RSVP below in the comments as to whether or not you wish to compete.
