MEMORANDUM FOR All Personnel Assigned or Attached to the ASVAB Waiver Gang
Specialty Missions Brigade (SMB)
SUBJECT: Policy Letter #1 – Purpose of the Specialty Missions Brigade
1. Reference. AR 123-4, Army Command Policy, Chapter 6 dated 30 June 2023
2. Purpose: Ensure all Soldiers have knowledge of the procedures to conduct operations within the SMB.
2a. Ensure all SM within the SMB are red on MEDPROS.
2b. Ensure all SM are waivered into the SMB.
2b. Ensure all SM be fully aware that the SMB is an all volunteer force.
3. Policy: Commanders at all levels will establish, implement, and inform their Commands
of the SMB procedures and purpose of the SMB in accordance with AR 123-4.
4. Any individual who believes they are high performing has the right to present their concerns to the Chain of Command.
