This is a place for friendly Awesomenauts players from Australia and New Zealand to get together and organise private games, put together teams for ranked matches, and chat about anything Awesomenauts. If you're looking for a game, join the chat room and see what's going down!

We'd also like to organise some tournaments for the more competitive among us. We'd especially like to look into live-casting/recording games to help both this group and the wider Awesomenauts community gain more exposure and more players.

We'll be keeping it invite only for now, but may open to the public if it works out. Please only invite people you have played with and know are good sports; we don't want any sore winners or losers here! Rank is not important, we'd actually love to help new players get better and rank up.

Good news everyone!

Ronimo just announced that they will be doing a live stream tonight, at 1am VIC/NSW/QLD time, to showcase some gameplay of the new Starstorm naut Ted McPain. They'll be listening to community suggestions too so it'll be a good one to watch!

I'll be in group chat so feel free to open that up and have a chat with us too!

Yeah, it kinda died to be honest! If anyone can think of a way to make it more active, feel free to start a discussion post. It'd be great to have more of a community feel amongst the Aussie players, half of us already seem to know each other; we just never come together as a group!

The spectator mode might help with that, I guess. Commentating on matches would help even more! There are a few places you can post to get some reasonable exsposure; reddit, the Nauts forums/Facebook, etc. and if you're entertaining, people will usually come back!

Once the whole spectator mode is released for Awesomenauts, I'd be available to do some casting of matches (providing the group is not dead or anything). It is scheduled to be released in the 3rd quarter of the year, however, so it would be a long time. I'd also be worried about not giving it enough exposure. But anyway, the spectator mode will be a nice addition to the game.

Your best bet would be to join the group chat room as a team. I try and check it most nights. I keep forgetting to come all the way to the page though =P If there's no one in there, message me and I'll see if I can whip a team together, I usually have enough people on!

Ha, wondered if you might be considering it! Would you like to be an admin? I know you've done a good job with Smurfy Fortress. I run a sizeable gaming community on Facebook but I'm still new to Steam groups!
