The 9th Rangers Battalion was formed on August 31st 2009.

The unit started off with some good members.. The name the 9th Rangers Battalion was chosen because we wanted to have an original name and build our own legacy in day of defeat source; and it did sound pretty cool. Burke, Miller, Greenwood, and Copping were the founders of the unit and the people who got this unit on its feet.

The unit started off with 15 members and grew rapidly. After the first day, the unit already had a server, forum, and 5 new recruits and continued to grow each day.
