MP5SD

Welcome to the group of MP5 Fanatics! This group is just here for those who love the Heckler & Koch MP5 Sub-machine Gun. The MP5 has been around for quite a while and typically uses 30-round magazines of the famous 9x19mm Parabellum round. The personal favorite of mine is the MP5SD, distinguishable by its round, lined handguard and integral suppressor.

The MP5 was developed by Heckler & Koch GmbH during the 1960s and though the UMP-45 was designed to replace it in the 1990s, both are widely used and still in production, whereas other popular weaponry (the SOCOM Mk 23 Pistol for instance) is discontinued. The MP5 is known to have effective iron sights and bears some resemblance to the H&K G3 rifles. In 1986 a variant was made for the US Navy called the MP5 Navy, or MP5N for short. The MP5SD was first designed following 1974, and is my personal variant. The MP5SD is pictured above.

The MP5K is a shorter version of the MP5 and though it has less of a place on my favorites list, it's still part of the MP5 line and worthy of recognition.
