We are the Iron Guard! We are loyal Union men and will fight for the Union wherever they need us to! We will fight for the Union in the mountains, on the beaches, on the plains, in the forest, and in the mountains! The Illegal Confederacy must be stopped, at any and all costs!

The Iron Guard, a Wisconsin Infantry, was mustered at Madison, Wisconsin on September 2nd, 1861, and moved to Louisville, Kentucky later in the war. The 7thWI served nearly four years throughout Virginia and the east at such Battles as the Second of Bull Run, South Mountain, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania Court House, Cold Harbor, Petersburg, Weldon Railroad, and Five Forks in the famous and gallant Iron Brigade.
